PAY EQUITY FORUM Melbourne

Held in the week of Equal Pay Day, this forum in Melbourne provided the opportunity for a wide range of interested people – including academics with expertise in human resource management in small to medium sized enterprises (SME) sector and with expertise in pay equity; representatives of business, employees, women’s organisations and the public sector – to discuss pay equity in the SME sector.The aim of the forum was twofold: 

  1. to gain a better understanding of the challenges and needs for SMEs in considering pay equity and the attraction and retention of female employees; and
  2. to plan how best to support SMEs to achieve pay equity and to harness the full potential of their workforce. A full report is forthcoming.
